Learning Line Upon Line

First, we learned that we can fully trust in a loving Heavenly Father, who is constantly trying to help us become the person He knows we can become.

We confirmed the profound truth of His words when He said, "I will give unto the children of men line upon line, precept upon precept, here a little and there a little; and blessed are those who hearken unto my precepts, … for they shall learn wisdom; for unto him that receiveth I will give more."

Recognizing Spiritual Truths

Elder Held shares the spiritual truths he has come to know with certainty through his journey of faith and learning, including the reality of a loving Heavenly Father, the divinity of Jesus Christ, the prophetic calling of Joseph Smith, the truthfulness of the Book of Mormon, and the divine guidance of the Church by living prophets.

I have come to know with absolute certainty that: We have a loving Father in Heaven, and we all agreed to come to this earth as part of a divine plan.

Jesus is the Christ; He lives and is my Savior and Redeemer.

Joseph, a humble farm boy, was called and became the mighty prophet who initiated this, the dispensation of the fulness of times, with all of its keys, power, and authority of the holy priesthood of God.

The Book of Mormon is a second witness of Jesus Christ, and families are meant to remain together forever.
