Understanding the Importance of Trust
Trust is an act of faith that can be undermined or broken in various situations, such as when someone we trust hurts us, when we face unexpected life challenges, or when we feel judged or out of place in the Church. Despite these challenges, we can always trust in God who is a God of truth and who keeps faith with us.

Many today feel a great need to restore trust in human relationships and modern society.

Restoring Trust Through Service and Sacrifice
Service and sacrifice can increase our capacity to trust in God and in each other. By doing hard things with faith, we can refine our hearts and bring heaven's blessings into our lives. Trust becomes real when we act upon it.

Forgiveness is essential in restoring trust, especially when trust has been broken or betrayed. We can forgive others in the right time and way, while being wise and harmless. Forgiveness allows us to look liberatingly to the future.

Trusting in God's Compassion and Promises
We can always trust in God's compassion and promises. His infinite love and perfect knowledge of past, present, and future make His covenants and promises constant and sure. Through the process of time and with continuing faith and obedience, we can find resolution and peace.
We can always trust God. The Lord knows us better and loves us more than we know or love ourselves.
Trust what the scriptures call "in process of time." With God’s blessing, process of time, and continuing faith and obedience, we can find resolution and peace.

Coming Home to God and Each Other
Elder Gong concludes by encouraging us to open our hearts and welcome each other home, whether we are returning or coming for the first time. He emphasizes the importance of making our congregations, quorums, classes, and activities open, authentic, and safe for all. Through trust in God, each other, and ourselves, we can come again to God our Father and His Beloved Son.
Do you remember Jesus Christ’s parable about a certain man who had two sons? One son left home and wasted his inheritance. When he came to himself, this son sought to come home. The other son, feeling he had kept the commandments "lo, these many years," did not want to welcome his brother home.
Our life journeys are individual, but we can come again to God our Father and His Beloved Son through trust in God, each other, and ourselves.
